Awards & Rewards

At Gurukul, recognition is woven into everyday school life as a culture of encouragement, belonging, and growth. Our Reward & Award Policy for Grades III–V moves beyond conventional achievement-based recognition to celebrate curiosity, resilience, kindness, creativity, teamwork, discipline, and the courage to keep improving.

Built around the four pillars — Gyan, Kala, Khel, and Sanskar — the framework ensures that every child’s unique strengths are acknowledged across academics, arts, sports, values, and life skills. Recognition becomes a continuous journey through classroom appreciations, smiley badges, bookmarks, ERP appreciations, Sunshine Calls, quarterly certificates, and annual Badges of Honour.

From celebrating critical thinkers and enthusiastic readers to recognising team players, compassionate behaviour, creativity, leadership, and consistent effort, the policy creates an environment where every child feels seen, motivated, and inspired to shine in their own unique way.

The Annual Badge of Honour recognises students who demonstrate balanced and consistent growth across all four domains throughout the academic year.

GYAN : Curiosity, critical thinking, effort and achievement in scholastic subjects and intellectual pursuits in the regular classroom.
KALA : Visual arts, music, dance, creative expression. Talent and effort are both celebrated.
KHEL : Participation, teamwork, sportsmanship and achievement in physical activities and games.
SANSKAR :Good manners, respect, ethical behavior, social responsibility and adherence to school rules, values and Policies.
